THE COASTLINE HERE TWISTS AND TURNS WITH SECRET COVES AND POOLS, THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS RICH AND ELEMENTAL MACROLANDSCAPES.
“In my most recent series 'Patterns of Skye'
I have attempted to challenge the
conventional. The series explores the
landscape, its dramatic geological
structures and foaming water courses, in
detailed studies, often very close in
offering the viewer minute detailed
environments that are a microcosm of an
often savage landscape, sculpted by raw
elements. The Rockpool pictures in
particular, attempt to emphasise the natural
beauty of colours and shapes that survive
and flourish beside some of the most
violent seas in Scotland.”
